April 21, 2002 - St. Joseph Parish
Initiation in the Catholic Church happens through the celebration of the sacraments.
As the Church practices infant baptism since biblical times, the children need to be introduced further and
gradually to the faith at a later age. Usually, when the children are in second grade, they prepare for
receiving First Holy Communion. This year, 19 children from St. Joseph in Waupun were admitted to
the full participation in the Eucharist on Sunday, April 21, 2002.
